The Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa's most remarkable geological features. This vast, unbroken caldera is home to more than 25,000 animals, creating one of the highest densities of wildlife in Africa. The crater floor consists of several distinct habitats including grassland, swamps, forests and Lake Magadi, a central soda lake filled by the Munge River.
